Some of you astute and loyal aficionados will recognize this basic drawing. It's an oldie. I think I did it around 1999 or something. It's a city I've been tossing around in my head and in a handful of old RPG sessions. Since it was gathering dust and since it fits perfectly into the new project I decided to muck with it and noodle the possibilities.
Zyn Dweomer stuff. Back to noodlin' and doodlin'.
Hey James! Nice work you've been posting lately. I checked out some of the comics on your site and really like them. Pan-Gea has a great Vaughn Bode feel to it. Very, very cool!
ReplyDeleteBode was great. I was duly influenced by his work, especially with Pan-Gea. Thanks for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteDitto from me Good buddy. Lil' Doggy Out!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see a lighter touch from you with the inking in the background. I think it would make an overall improvement to mix the thin and thick on a regular basis.

I love the fat brushes.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of experimenting with the pentab by setting the firmness to max and the brush tip to a fairly small max. That way the lines would still have some variation but still be thin. I don't know. Lately I've leaned toward very little ink shading, just letting the colors and textures do the work.
