The Kickstarter Campaign:
We're fortunate in that we don't need to generate funds for printing.
So what's the purpose of this campaign? Simple ... We're hoping to raise some funds to pay advances to the artists and writers who have contributed to this project. That's it. 100% of all proceeds from this campaign (after paying for the rewards themselves) go directly to the creators who contributed stories as advances on their royalties.
We're offering some great rewards -- including a limited edition of the book available ONLY as a Kickstarter reward! Take a look and see for yourself!
You can find more information and story previews at the Dark Mischief blog!
That's it!
Play Nice. :)

A bunch of art, natch
Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. I'm dumping a few recent tidbits for the pleasure and enjoyment of that guy in Italy...
Space Ranger Catgirl
Catgirl, space, sci-fantasy. Now if I can work her into a story that is based on McBeth it will be awesome.
LotR: Eowyn
Here is what Eowyn might have looked like if I was casting. Of course it would be difficult for her to pretend to be a dude!
(This is an older drawing that I recently dashed some colors upon.)

"Promotion"
Obviously I had some of da Bode on my brain.
(edit: I hadn't read this since I drew it. Got a couple of typos in there. I'll speak with my #97s about fixing it later.)
(P.S.: "Phase two negotiations" refers to a scene that was to come after this one. Basically, they kill the proprietor of the filling station. Cue rimshot.)

Temple of Brog Pg 1/7
Been a while since I chimed in here at the good ole Wizards of Ur blog. I've been keeping pretty busy, doing comics, laying low. Sometimes I peek out from the darkness and see what's going on.
Here's a comic I did recently for your entertainment...

Just Some Fun
I tend to forget when I "zone out" and get a little detail crazy that I'm going to have to color at some point. I'm sure my head will explode when the time comes but, hopefully, it'll have been worth it.

Going's On
I've been pretty busy lately working on some projects and spreading the Indy comic love through Ka-Blam. It also seems that my busy schedule has no let up in sight which is a good thing.
So here's what's going on.
Besides my gig with Ka-Blam, I'm working on three comic projects at the moment. One is in the beginning stages and is a sci-fi/espionage epic written by Thomas Hall, the creator of the critically acclaimed Indy series' Robot 13 and King from Blacklist Studios. This should surprise anyone who's followed my work as Thomas has given me a unique and different path to explore with my art. I'm pretty excited by all of it.
The second project is one that has been in the works for a few years. It's a story written by my longtime friend and Ka-Blam cohort, Jenni Gregory of Dreamwalker, Abbie's Menagerie fame called "Becky's Alien". It's something of a sci/fi story but very character driven. Jenni's way with character development is one of her strongest assets as a writer. Just check out her work on Dreamwalker. We're hoping to premiere this one at Megacon 2011 in Orlando next month.
The third project is one that has been more of a personal project; something I do when I need to relax or have a few spare minutes in the day. It's all the cool stuff I love to doodle and write about. Expect a plethora of aliens, ugly humans, boobs, flying cars, political/religious mysteries, lots of trash and dirty sidewalks. I'm not sure where I'm going with this one. I may just release it as a graphic novel whenever I get to the finish line. I hadn't realized how many pages I had done for this until recently so I figured I could probably mention it as I'm sure I'll see it through to the end now. Page on the right there is a random page from this project. Still needs color.
That's it!
Sharing is caring, no?
Play Nice.
