If this arc were a play, this episode would be the opening scene of the 3rd act. When things start moving towards an inevitable showdown. Blood begins to flow.
Obviously, that scout would have been awake if Sissyl hadn't been involved.
On a creative note, I dislike drawing a million tiny trees -- although they are easy to color when they're covered in snow.
Next week...an episode that had me a little teary-eyed while drawing it...the last goodbye.
And if you haven't heard, Volume 8 is now on sale! -- http://www.realmofatland.com/printbooks.shtml

Barry was rockin' in this episode!
ReplyDeleteLittle trees are a major pain in the rear but, establishing shots, like which you have here in the first panel, are always a good thing to have to establish some geography. A lot of webcomics, specifically, do not take the time and effort to do this. This doesn't seem to be a problem with the Wizards here.
Storytelling 101 baby!
I was going to say the trees are what make this page shine. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteNext week...drama and popcorn!
Ahh yes, the beautiful snow-covered landscape... soon to be drenched in lovely blood!
