Well I guess I'm all about audio books these days, but the point is that you can load the Kindle up with a whole library of books and take it with you whervever you go. It's about the size of a paperback. You buy ebooks, which are cheaper than printed books and ultimately you have fewer dead trees. You can get books & magazines downloaded instantly as it has built in wireless. The screen is not like a computer screen, more like looking at paper and easily visible in bright sunlight, I haven't actually seen one though. My understanding is that it has been phenominally popular with people who read a lot. Not sure if it's quite up to the task of serving up comics nicely or not. But hey, you can at least read this blog on it!
I don't get it. It seems a lot more awkward than just holding a book in your hands.
ReplyDeleteNot that I have anything against modern technology, but I agree with you AP.
