In this strip I thought I'd try to address why Bish speaks the way he does. The real reason is because I think it's fun to write that way, although it does take up a lot of space and I can't make every speech balloon this big.
In case you were wondering I was born and raised in Basingstoke, England and speak with a very English accent. Pewfell speaks with what I usually call a mid-Atlantic sort of accent. Now I think about it, I guess that might mean he's Canadian?! My co-writer Adam Prosser is, in fact, Canadian so I guess that proves it. I never thought about that before. I've never been to Canada, perhaps now I should.
