The Wizards of Ur have arrived.

Welcome, O weary ones, to this brand-new sketch blog! Tired of lack-luster blog readership and low posting rates, like-minded artists Tony Furtado, James West & Chuck Whelon (that’s me) have decided to combine forces and unite our blogs into the überBlog to destroy all others. As The Wizards of Ur we hope to inspire and motivate each other to produce the best work we can, and provide you with oodles of the mouth-watering, cartoony, sci-fi/fantasy eye-candy that you seek.

If you’re a fan of comics and art in the tradition of Vaugn Bodé or Les Humanoïdes Associés, you'll soon be slavering at the jaws as we’ve all pledged to be posting something new every week as we take that old-school style into the 21st century.

As well as showing off our latest and greatest art, sketches and comics pages, we'll also all be posting all that other crazy stuff that we used to post on our individual blogs, i.e.: links to stuff we think is cool, long lost drawings from our archives, personal reflections, rants and complaints about our day jobs and just about anything else that comes to mind.
