Heh. ATLAND didn't win in any of the the 3 categories it was up for in the Web Cartoonists Choice Awards at MegaCon this weekend.

Just being listed with all those other awesome creators is worth a great deal, though. It's awesome to get that far!
ReplyDeleteI have never been able to figure out how those WCCAs work. Pewfell was nominated one year, but I don't know how it got nominated. I don't know how the voting works or anything. I just tried looking at their website again but as always just ended up getting hopelessly confused (OK, I didn't try very hard... but i got bored of looking through all those zillons of rules written in faux legalese).
ReplyDeleteI remember when they first started up and over the years I have tried to understand them but then in the end I just can't. Can we nominate each other for these things? That should be part of what we do here -- nominating and voting for each other to win awards! Perhaps we should instigate our own awards?! The Ur WTF award. This year I nominate Atland -- any seconders?
