  1. Love the hatching and the looseness of the wrist/hand. I can't draw that loose. I'm really heavy handed with my pencil. Sometimes when I erase, you can still see the indentation of how hard I was pressing with the pencil.

  2. Nice work, Tony. What kind of pencil do you use anyway?

I've been using the same .5 tech pencil since around 1992 or something crazy like that. I might touch a standard drawing pencil (the kind with wood and lead and requiring a sharpener...) about once a year.

  3. Thanks Nate. I get like that too, especially if I'm just penciling (rare) and turning it over to an inker. I did a god-awful comic for Chris Croby back in the "Blatant Comics" day that someone else was going to ink. When Chris got the pages, the lead was so heavy and tight he almost ran it without inks.

  4. James, I have no idea what I'm using. It's a mechanical pencil, probably cost me about $0.99. The lead I had just happened to fit. I'm horrible on the art supply front. it's almost embarrassing. Did you know that Transient was drawn and inked on typing paper? Not even the good stuff mind you. LOL I'm the shame of artists everywhere man.
